Machinery and equipment exhibitors at Livestock Event are invited to enter the award presented by the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers which is designed to recognise the economic importance of their products to the livestock farming sector.
Called the RABDF Livestock Machinery and Equipment Award, the judges will take into account each entry's innovation, its economic advantages to the farmer, running costs including replacement parts and prices, servicing requirements, safety features, energy usage, potential market and list price. RABDF's chief executive, Nick Everington says: "As organiser of Livestock Event, we are focused on communicating to farmers the benefits of best practice and technology which will help towards improving their business's overall efficiency. We are pleased to continue this award to reward those exhibitors who excel in technical innovation and which demonstrate real cost benefits to livestock producers. We look forward to a set of high calibre entries."
