“Advanced ticket sales are well up on the year and indicate that farmers located from throughout the UK, and beyond are planning to take advantage of being able to take the train or fly direct to Birmingham International station and airport and walk the remaining10 to 15 minutes to the event through an undercover walkway,” explains Nick Everington, chief executive of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, the event organiser. “Others will be aware of the easier road access connecting The NEC from the M6 and M42 and the benefit of free car parking.”
He adds: “Relocating the event to The NEC really does mean that many more farmers will now be able to get there and back in a day and see it all. Furthermore, spending the day with like minded people in a friendly but professional environment will enable visitors to leave behind the daily chores and focus on thinking about the future and doing business with the record number of 480 exhibitors, as well as take in the seminars, beef and sheep demonstrations, and dairy cattle judging.”
