Sheep to make their debut at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show
13 August 2008
Sheep will feature in a brand new exhibition developed in association with NSA to be staged at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show, the specialist event for the entire UK ruminant sector to be staged at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 17 and 18 September.
The Sheep Exhibition which will feature the leading UK breeds and focus on grassland management, nutrition and solutions to animal health issues, will also offer a live demonstration with the latest ID and handling systems throughout the two day event. In addition, parasitic control will be addressed in the Farm Health Planning exhibition by leading vets and SCOPS’ specialist Lesley Stubbings.
“For more than 130 years, the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers has been proud to organise the UK’s leading event in the dairy sector,” explains RABDF chief executive, Nick Everington. “However, we are aware from extensive research carried out at previous Dairy Events that the majority of our visitors manage more than just dairying as a livestock enterprise: in fact over 3,000 visitors farmed sheep.” He adds: “By working with NSA, we have developed a new specific exhibition for the sheep sector, which will help to broaden the scope of the event to the extent that livestock farmers with multi-species enterprises will be able to obtain all the information they need from this one event.”
